Antennas & microwave
Array, reflector and VSAT antennas, waveguide components and matching networks, simulated in HFSS, CST and ADS and verified in the chamber.
Over 20 years of turning RF ideas into products that ship — from electromagnetic simulation and frontend design to DSP, FPGA and production test systems.
Get in touchArray, reflector and VSAT antennas, waveguide components and matching networks, simulated in HFSS, CST and ADS and verified in the chamber.
Receiver and power amplifier design, RF PCB layout in Altium and KiCad, population, bring-up and load-pull characterisation.
Baseband demodulators, angle-of-arrival processing, GNU Radio out-of-tree modules and vectorised DSP kernels fast enough for real-time sample streams.
Automated measurement and production test systems in Python and LabVIEW, instrument control, anechoic chamber setups.
Bremsstrahlung is the consultancy of Magnus Lundmark, M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers, specialised in microwave technology, antenna theory and propagation. My passion is making the most with the least — squeezing performance out of a design so it drives the product forward.
The work I value most covers the whole chain: taking an idea, writing the prototype baseband demodulator, designing the RF frontend, and building the test system that makes sure every unit shipped performs.
RF and FPGA design of electronic warfare systems. Circular waveguide matching from RF power amplifier to vacuum vessel for plasma heating at Novatron Fusion Group, from requirements to finished product. PXI transceiver baseband, RF receiver and PCB design, automated measurement systems.
Angle-of-arrival antenna system for drone detection and localisation (MUSIC, Python to C++). ADS-B demodulator taken from Python prototype to FPGA. RF frontends for AoA, ADS-B and UAT receivers, an SDR-based anechoic chamber, and a satellite ground station for ADS-C.
PA matching circuit design, load-pull and an automated PA test suite with extensive instrument control.
Steerable array base station antennas and wideband subassemblies: elements, variable delay lines, splitters and dividers.
Stabilised maritime VSAT antennas with electronic beam squint tracking, OTA measurement methods for small radiators, ferroelectric tunable antennas, and 10–40 GHz reflector antennas.
